Since its inception, Yeshivas Toras Dovid has aspired to create the warm, collegial and growth-oriented environment where ba'alei teshuvah can solidify and sustain their growth in Torah learning and Torah living - the premiere baal teshuvah yeshiva in North America.
Our story
Named in memory of Dovid Winiarz zt'l, Toras Dovid's mission is to provide the support and skills that enable our talmidim to become b'nei Torah equipped to build Torah homes and contribute to the Torah community at large. The yeshiva offers a wide array of text-based classes, ranging from a basic introduction to Gemara through advanced learning and rabbinic s'micha, alongside halacha, hashkafa, Chumash and mussar — a well-rounded curriculum that gives our talmidim both the knowledge and the skills for a lifetime of learning.
Our approach to learning
Our rebbeim have extensive experience with ba'alei teshuvah and are uniquely equipped to help talmidim navigate the challenges — be it shidduchim, parnassah, family or shalom bayis — that can unfortunately loom larger than life for the baal teshuvah who finds himself without a proper community or environment. Our mission is to meet each talmid where he is and to provide a healthy, growth-oriented framework that prepares him for a successful and fulfilling life as a ben Torah.
Our community
Nothing here happens alone. Monthly Chaverim, annual campaign partners, alumni, dedication sponsors and Purim supporters together carry the yeshiva's day-to-day costs. Every one of those relationships is a partnership, and we treat it that way.
